Description

Paeonia lactiflora 'Gertrude Allen'. A late flowering variety that shows its beauty towards the end of the peony season. Pure white guard petals surround a centre of soft yellow staminodes and pink tipped carpels. A beautiful combination of flowers set against the dark green healthy foliage. This compact garden peony needs no support.

Parent of several Itoh peonies, including P. 'Flaming Delight', P. 'Love Affair' and P. 'Prairie Sunshine'.

Registered by Wild & Son in 1958.
