Peony Lemon Chiffon

Peony 'Lemon Chiffon'

Description

Paeonia herbaceous hybrid 'Lemon Chiffon'. Bold light green foliage supports the striking soft lemon coloured flowers with poise.

The flowers are semi-double to double and of heavy substance. The stems are strong and form a solid base to support the graceful display of this floriferous variety. It is a beautiful landscape plant and equally admirable in the vase.

A double hybrid; parentage ('Salmon Dream' x ('Cream Delight' x 'Moonrise'). In return, it also produces beautiful, pea-sized fertile seeds which contain a treasure trove of genetic material.

Registered in 1981.
