Description
Paeonia Itoh "Al's Choice". An Itoh peony, with a twist. Selected by Allan Rogers, author of 'Peonies' who had over 60 years experience of peonies and had been growing them since childhood.
This taller variety has a spreading habit, revealing its strong growth potential. The flowers are a delicate yellow with a few red and magenta brushstrokes. A tuft of stamens surrounds the striking green white-tipped carpels. The flowers open sequentially, ensuring a long flowering season. As with most Itohs, this variety does not need staking and the foliage will be an asset to your garden until the first frost.
Registered in 2004.
