Peony 'Maestro'

Paeonia lactiflora 'Maestro'. A luxuriant semi-double to double flower with dark red glossy petals that retain their colour.

In spring the purple-red shoots develop into long, arching stems. Some support may be needed depending on location. Its long stems and dark red colour make it an excellent choice for the vase. A hardy garden plant and one of the few true reds with multiple side buds, giving an extended flowering season.

Registered in 1955.
