Peony Duchesse de Nemours

Peony 'Duchesse de Nemours'

Description

Paeonia lactiflora 'Duchesse de Nemours'. The outer petals are inverted to form a bowl containing a compact flower with dense petaloids. This free flowering variety has glossy green leaves. Several side buds extend the flowering period. A very special fragrance fills the room with each bouquet. One of the most widely grown cut flowers in the professional sector is now available for the home garden.  A plant support is required due to the slender stems.

RHS Award of Garden Merit 1993.

Registered in 1856.
