Peony 'The Fawn'

Peony 'The Fawn'

Description

Paeonia lactiflora 'The Fawn' This variety is distinguished by its antique pink striped buds, which open up in a most peculiar way to form beautiful double flowers. The pink petals are spotted, hence the appropriate name 'The Fawn'. The flowers fade over time and display a soft array of pink colours.

It is a vigorous variety with strong, long stems and lush foliage. The flowers are valued for their longevity, lasting over a week in a vase. This is a rarely seen beauty for the garden and vase.

Registered in 1996.

'Royal Horticultural Society' Award of Garden Merit.
