Peony Roland
Paeonia lactiflora “Roland”.
Roland is one of those shiny and happy peonies waiting to brighten up your garden in mid- peony season. The cerise coloured flowers with two rows of petals and a pollen bearing centre, bring joy to not only the gardener but also the bees and other pollinator friends. Flower buds are numerous and open up in turn displaying simultaneously buds, flowers and seedpods.
The seedpods contain numerous little treasures and who knows what they have to offer to the very patient gardener. The offspring from peony seeds will not look like their parent cultivars but after 3 to 5 years the first flowers appear and the mystery is solved.
The flowers, medium sized are positioned just above the dark green healthy foliage. Of course, this sturdy grower does not require any support. A variety selected and registered by Roy Klehm, Song Sparrow Nursery not previously offered.
Registered in 2003.

Delivery in the EU.
The new harvest can be ordered from February 1st for delivery from October onwards.
