Peony 'White Frost'

Peony 'White Frost'

Description

Paeonia lactiflora 'White Frost'. Pure white, double to bomb-type flowers. In our fields, the plant required no support during heavy rainfall, and the flowers remained undaunted. The medium-statured plant has attractive lactiflora foliage that grows from the ground up. This is an important feature if you want to position it at the front of a flower border or if don't like weeding! To top it all off, the flowers are very fragrant and a joy to behold.

It is a cross by David Reath between P. 'White Charm' and an unknown semi-double white lactiflora. The plant first bloomed in 1979, and after extensive observations, the plant was registered with the American Peony Society in 1992.
