Description
Paeonia herbaceous hybrid "Montezuma". Strong long stems hold single to semi-double bright vermillion red flowers with a generous tuft of yellow stamens in the centre. Elegant landscape plant and cut flower. A lesser known sought after variety from Prof. Saunders. Possibly named after the Aztec ruler Montezuma.
Registered in 1943.
