Peony Miss America

Peony 'Miss America'

Description

Paeonia lactiflora 'Miss America'. Mother-of-pearl buds open to bright white, cup-shaped flowers. Large, semi-double flowers with numerous petals form a perfect bowl and contrast beautifully with the glossy dark green foliage. Slightly fragrant flowers are borne on long slender stems. Some support might be desired depending on the style of the garden or gardener. A strong performer, loved by bees and other pollen loving garden friends.

'American Peony Society' Gold Medal 1956.

'Royal Horticultural Society' Award of Garden Merit 2012.

Registered by J. Van Steen in 1936.
