Peony Miss America

Peony Miss America

Description

Paeonia lactiflora "Miss America". Mother of pearl tinted flower buds open up to bright white cup shaped flowers. Large semi-double flowers with numerous petals form a perfect cup, and contrast beautifully against the glossy dark green foliage.

Slightly fragrant flowers are placed upon long slender stems. Depending on the location support may be required. A strong performer, loved by bees and other pollen loving garden friends.

APS Gold Medal 1956.

RHS Award of Garden Merit 2012.

Registered by J. Van Steen in 1936.
