Peony 'Petite Porcelain'

Description

Paeonia lactiflora 'Petite Porcelain'. A crown of porcelain petals surrounds a tuft of golden stamens. It looks delicate, but this little gem is a healthy, vigorous grower that needs no support in the garden or field. The fragrant flowers start like marshmallows, standing proudly above the lush dark green foliage.

Several lateral flower buds extend the flowering season of this lovely landscape variety, which easily doubles as a cute cut flower. Seed pods are a bonus and can be left on a mature plant to develop.  If you are very patient they may produce some interesting offspring. The dried pods make a great addition to autumn wreaths.

Registered by the 'American Peony Society' in 1998.
