Description
Paeonia lactiflora 'Krinkled White'. A must for any garden. Nearly 100 years young and as fresh as a daisy. Pure white wild silk petals enclose a centre of yellow pollen-bearing stamens and white-tipped carpels. Gentle fragrance. Very resistant to adverse weather and drought. Multiple side buds on long, slender stems extend the flowering season of this nearly century-old peony.
Registered in 1928.
Peony varieties originating from the peony nursery in Faribault, Minnesota, USA — which operated for over 125 years under the ownership of the Brand family, followed by Ms. Gentry and then the Tischlers — were among the finest. Over time, we managed to acquire some of their treasures.
