Peony Madame Calot

Peony 'Madame Calot'

Description

Paeonia lactiflora 'Madame Calot' also known as 'Leonie' or 'Roem van Boskoop'. Lovely fragrant, old-fashioned double flower. Soft pink petals enclose a pink centre of numerous petaloids tinged with crimson specks. A floriferous peony with nice pointed foliage and strong stems. Many side buds extend the flowering period of this rather early bloomer. Although the stems are sturdy some support might be desired depending on the style of the garden or gardener.

Registered in 1856.
