Description
Paeonia lactiflora 'Myrtle Gentry'. Its large, blousy, double flowers give off an enticing fragrance that will keep you coming back for more! The pale pink petals, which have hints of apricot and cream, gradually fade to pure white. The flowers have a refined shape with large, rounded petals.
Myrtle Gentry is often described as the most fragrant peony of all. The strong stems support the large flowers well above the foliage. Depending on its position in the garden, it may need some support. It is a very late variety.
Registered by the 'American Peony Society' in 1925.
'Royal Horticultural Society' Award of Garden Merit.
