Peony May Apple

Peony May Apple

Description

Paeonia lactiflora hybrid "May Apple". Several rows of warm coloured pink petals enclose a centre of pollen bearing stamens and white stigmas.

A white glow at the base emphasizes the translucency of the petals. In summer large seedpods adorn the entire bush. Pods may be left on mature plants. A cheerful addition for the early spring garden.

Registered in 1977 by M. Bigger.
