Description

Paeonia lactiflora "Mrs. Franklin D. Roosefelt" 1932. Perfectly formed soft pink double flowers that contrast beautifully with the dark green foliage. Multiple side buds extend the flowering period of this profusely flowering peony. The flowers have a lovely fragrance. Named after the Mrs. Roosevelt who became First Lady a year later in 1933. It didn't stop there, she was the driving force behind the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as a delegate to the United Nations. 

American Peony Society Gold Medal winner 1948.
