Peony 'Command Performance'

Description

Paeonia herbaceous hybrid "Command Performance". Unquestionably a champion, "Command Performance" lives up to its name. The flowers are large and the vibrant colour attracts attention as soon as they open. The cardinal red flowers gradually fade to ivory, revealing the peregrine heritage of this triple hybrid.

The flowers are bomb-type, soft-scented and, given their size, one flower per stem is more than enough to fill a vase. The stems are strong, though depending on the garden or the gardener, some support may be required.

American Peony Society Best in Show 1998.

Registered in 1996.
