Peony Tranquil Dove
Paeonia herbaceous hybrid "Tranquil Dove".
Definitely belonging to the group of "Rare, floriferous early little wonders". Tranquil Dove’s white petals are graced with an apple blush overlay. The colour tone is accentuated in the purple tipped carpels and purple filaments. The purple colour tone is not only showing in the flower but is present throughout the plant up to its roots.
The pollen bearing flowers are floating just above a dome of healthy green foliage.
This precious seedling of Halcyon was a gift from Silvia Saunders to Chris Laning and later distributed by Allan Rogers, peony nurseryman and writer of the book "Peonies".
