Description
Paeonia herbaceous hybrid 'Athena'. The apricot single flowers are a real showstopper! They turn a delicate pale colour when opening up, revealing pink to purple blotches in the center. A flower that is adored by both bees and gardeners! This unique hybrid has four different parentages (P. lactiflora, P. officinalis, P. mlokosewitschii and P. macrophylla), which makes it even more unique!
It was registered with the 'American Peony Society' in 1949.
