Peony Le Cygne
Paeonia lactiflora "Le Cygne". Swans speak to us about grace and beauty and this peony is no different. Ivory buds open up to pure white very large perfect double flowers.
Stems are strong however do require some mechanical support to hold the heavy clusters of fragrant flowers.
One of the select group of peonies to obtain the American Peony Society Convention Best in Show - Grand Champion three times. In 1926, 1956 and 1960.
APS Court of Honour Best White Lactiflora by Hollingsworth Nursery in 2011.
Registered in 1907 by Emile Lemoine, one year after he registered the famous P. "Sarah Bernhardt".
