Peony Gertrude Allen

Description

Paeonia lactiflora "Gertrude Allen". A late flowering variety, showing its beauty at the tail end of the peony season. Pure white guard petals encircle a centre of soft yellow staminodes and pink tipped carpels.

A beautiful flower combination, which stands out perfectly against the dark green and healthy foliage. A support is not required for this compact garden peony.

Parent of several Itoh peonies, i.e.  P. “Flaming Delight”, P. “Love Affair” and P. “Prairie Sunshine”.

Registered by Wild & Son in 1958.
