Peony Petite Porcelain

Peony 'Petite Porcelain'

Paeonia lactiflora 'Petite Porcelain'. A crown of porcelain coloured petals surrounds a tuft of golden stamens. It looks a delicate, but this little gem is a healthy vigorous grower that needs no support in the garden or field. The perfumed flowers start out as marshmallows, standing proudly above the lush dark green foliage.

Several lateral flower buds extend the flowering season of this lovely landscape variety which easily doubles as a lovely cut flower. Seed pods are a bonus and can be left on a mature plant to develop seeds.  If you are very patient, they may give you some interesting offspring. The dried pods make a lovely addition to autumn wreaths.

Registered by the 'American Peony Society' in 1998.
