Peony Maestro

Peony Maestro

Description

Paeonia lactiflora "Maestro". A luxuriant semi-double to double flower in a warm shade of red with a hint of burgundy which holds its colour.

In spring the purple red shoots grow into long arching stems. Depending on the location, some support may be required. Its long stems and dark red colour make it an excellent choice for the vase. A sturdy garden plant and one of the few true reds with multiple side buds, providing an extended flowering season.

Registered in 1955.
