Peony Petite Porcelain
Paeonia lactiflora "Petite Porcelain". A crown of porcelain coloured petals surrounds a tuft of golden stamens. It gives a delicate impression, but this little gem is a healthy strong grower which does not require any support in the garden or open field. The perfumed flowers start off as marshmallows proudly set above the lush dark green foliage.
Several lateral flower buds extend the flowering season of this lovely landscape variety which easily doubles up as a cut flower. Seedpods are a bonus, at a mature plant they can be left to develop seeds. Providing you are very patient, they might provide you with some interesting offspring. The dried pods are a nice addition to autumn wreaths.
