Imagine, picking your own bouquet of peonies in the garden early in the morning, definitely something to make life more beautiful!

A peony is a long-lived plant, which needs 3 years of growth until it reaches maturity. From the third year on, you can pick 1/3 of these stems, which makes per plant between 5 and 10 stems. It seems pretty cruel to leave the remaining gorgeous blossoms on the plant, but if you follow these steps you will be able to cut peonies for years to come.

Landscape peonies require little maintenance and do not need to be staked. They are available in a great number of colours, shapes and scents. Some are slightly lighter in form, perhaps more elegant, but certainly no less beautiful. On the contrary!
