Paeonia herbaceous hybrid "Cardinal's Robe" is a rare and exquisite variety from the Saunders collection. Its name suits this peony well, with flowers in a striking cardinal red. This variety is often selected for its beauty and the joy it brings to those around it.

In the garden, "Cardinal's Robe" is a durable plant. The flowers rise above the glossy, healthy, lighter green foliage, making it one of the longer-flowering Saunders Lobata or Perry red hybrids. It does not require any support, making it a valuable addition to any garden. We received the plants from Hollingsworth nursery many years ago and have been cherishing them ever since.
