New varieties 2023

New varieties do not just appear out of the blue, especially when it comes to peonies! In search for the perfect peony, crosses have been made and evaluated for centuries. A SEED takes 4 to 5 years to flower, which explains the time and patience required. This year we are particularly grateful to Don Hollingsworth for his eye for beautiful plants and his methodical and rigorous selection process which is simply "only the best is good enough". Contrary to popular belief, peonies are easy to grow, but like all of us, they have some basic needs to succeed in life. Best Landscape peonies

Landscape peonies come in a wide variety of colours, shapes and scents. They do not need to be staked. Some flowers are lighter, perhaps more elegant, but no less beautiful. On the contrary! The best selections are granted the American Peony Society Award of Landscape Merit.
