Peony 'Early Glow'

Paeonia herbaceous hybrid 'Early Glow' boasts buds that open pale yellow and fade to translucent ivory, enclosing a heart of yellow stamens and red-tipped stigmas. A cross between P. 'Roselette's Child' (P. lactiflora x P. mlokosewitschi x P. tenuifolia) x P. 'Cream Delight', this plant is as beautiful as the moon and as complex as we earthlings.

Several lateral buds prolong the flowering period, and pollen-bearing stamens are a bonus for the bees. Numerous seed pods filled with a wealth of seeds are a bonus for those wishing to grow new offspring. Its avocado green foliage and sturdy stems make it an ideal garden plant, spreading slightly to fill up to one square metre per plant.Combine it with other peonies or flowers in warm or pink tones for a stunning display!
