Peony Le Cygne

Peony 'Le Cygne'

Paeonia lactiflora 'Le Cygne'. Swans remind us of grace and beauty and this peony is no different. Ivory buds open to pure white, very large, perfect double flowers. The stems are strong but could need some mechanical support to hold the heavy clusters of fragrant flowers.

One of a select group of peonies to win the American Peony Society Convention Best in Show - Grand Champion three times. In 1926, 1956 and 1960.

'American Peony Society' Court of Honour Best White Lactiflora by Hollingsworth Nursery in 2011.

Registered in 1907 by Emile Lemoine, one year after he registered  the famous P. 'Sarah Bernhardt'.
