Peony Border Charm

Peony 'Border Charm'

Description

Paeonia Itoh 'Border Charm'. A fine cross between P. lactiflora and P. lutea 'Alice Harding'. Soft yellow petals tinged with a tiny red-purple accent in the heart of the flower envelop pink dotted pistils. Flower shape varies from single to semi-double.

The dark green leaves remain a beautiful feature until the first frost. A mature plant can grow up to 1.20m wide and is only 50 cm high. The stems are strong and contribute to the unusual shape of this peony, a lovely accent plant for the front of the border.

Registered in 1984.
