Peony Red Grace
New varieties do not appear out of the blue, especially not peonies! For centuries crosses were made and evaluated in search of the perfect peony plant. A seed takes 4 to 5 years to flower, which explains the time and perseverance required. Of course, you can always find a new one by chance, but winning the lottery is easier!
This year we especially wish thank Don Hollingsworth for his eye for beautiful plants and his methodical and rigorous selection method which simply is "Only the best is good enough". Apart from all the varieties acquired at his nursery we also got plenty of sound advice which is helpful day to day.
I hope you enjoy these varieties as much as we enjoy growing these beauties.
