For the cutting garden
Imagine, picking your own bouquet of peonies in the garden early in the morning, definitely something to make life more beautiful!
A peony is a long-lived plant, which needs 3 years of growth until it reaches maturity. From the third year on, you can pick 1/3 of these stems, which makes per plant between 5 and 10 stems. It seems pretty cruel to leave the remaining gorgeous blossoms on the plant, but if you follow these steps you will be able to cut peonies for years to come.
A romantic selection of old-fashioned peonies. Fabulous for in a vase or to create the flower arrangement of your dreams. Plant separate or in a group; in a sunny garden border or your own cutflower patch.
We recommend an average distance 75cm, so you need approximately 4 square meters for 6 peonies. This makes for easy care and picking.
Extra Large flowers
Impressive mouthwatering large blooms. If you wish for peonies larger than large, remove the lateral pea-sized buds in early spring. All the energy will flow to one beautiful flower ideal to create a sumptuous bouquet, a striking one-flower display or a classic piece of floral art.
Embrace these flowers with plenty of personality. Find a sunny spot and create a little cut flower haven in your garden. Plant in neat rows or mix and match. Even one square meter of different flowers can provide a bounty of stems to share and enjoy.
Subtle and Endearing
Looking for a subtler approach to flower arranging. This selection is not only very suitable for the garden, since they do not require any support. They are also beautiful cut flowers. Get inspired by these unusual and fun varieties.
