Peony Myra MacRae

Peony Myra MacRae

Description

Paeonia lactiflora "Myra MacRae".

"Myra MacRae" received the Gold Medal from the American Peony Society in 1998, a well-deserved recognition for the exceptionally beautiful blooms, which are displayed elegantly above the dark green healthy foliage.

A variety bred by Robert Tishler (1911 – 2007 Minn. USA) a peony grower and nurseryman looking for strong growing and exceptional varieties. The large double flowers in a distinct pink tone are beautifully formed and have a lovely scent. In spite of its sturdy plant habit, a minimal support is recommended in adverse weather conditions.

This late flowering variety with its multiple flower buds is definitely a welcome addition to any flower border.

Registered in 1967.
