Peony 'White Doves'

Peony 'White Doves'

Description

Paeonia herbaceous hybrid 'White Doves'. This enchanting treasure arrived on our doorstep many years ago straight from Don Hollingsworth's nursery. This rare variety is a cross between P. 'Archangel' and P. 'Claire the Lune' and with such impressive parents, the offspring is promising.

Dark shoots appear appear in early spring, revealing the promising flower buds. The snow-white, large rounded petals surround a tuft of golden pollen-laden stamens and red tipped carpels. The broad foliage has a crisp green touch, the stems are strong and need no support. This early flowering white variety is a beauty to behold.

Registered in 1996.
